“ I'd already heard good things about this restaurant, located in the old part of Benevento known as the Triggio area, near the Roman theater. Yesterday, I was invited by some friends to have lunch with them, and upon arriving, I realized the restaurant where we were having lunch was "Sapori." I had promised myself I'd go there sometime, but for one reason or another, the opportunity never came, but the opportunity presented itself yesterday. As soon as you enter, you can already feel the welcoming atmosphere. It's not your typical restaurant with a buzz that makes it hard to even chat among the guests, but an atmosphere of tranquility and, if you like, peace, it feels like being at home, nice and quiet. Once we were shown to our table, we were served a welcome meatball that was truly excellent, truly delicious. I had a beef tartare on a bed of mushrooms and eggplant, which was excellent, incredibly tasty, and then moved on to a first course: macaroni alla genovese, known locally as ziti, excellent, truly excellent. All this was accompanied by an excellent Aglianico Rosso del Taburno wine that paired well with the meats and pasta dishes. Someone also had gnocchi and an octopus appetizer, which, if I remember correctly, was served on a bed of eggplant (SEE PHOTO), then cutlets and fries for the little ones, and a truffle gnocchi. The staff was extremely kind and excellent. The kitchen was open to the public. Finally, we had the Sunday dessert; I honestly don't remember the name, but it was amazing. The bill might be a little salty, but for what you eat, it makes up for it. Congratulations to the entire staff and the chef. I think we'll definitely see each other again. ”

“ Intrigued by the reviews and won over by the photos of the dishes, we decided to book for the following week. We were immediately welcomed into the location (which turned out to be even more welcoming than in the photos) and escorted to our table. We were served a welcome meatball, which I must say was truly delicious. And I thought: "So much attention to detail in this dish, from the choice of ingredients to the cooking and plating, imagine the rest!" No sooner said than done. The seemingly simple "SAPORI" appetizer featured excellent quality products, from cured meats to cheeses. Tortelli alla Nerano and Zite alla Genovese were the first courses chosen, seared tuna in an almond crust and pork tenderloin with caciotta fondue were the second course, all accompanied by an excellent Ribolla Gialla. To round out the dinner, two sweet delights: strawberry semifreddo, house lemon sorbet, and an excellent coffee. Definitely excellent value for money, the courtesy and professionalism of the staff, along with the location, complete the package. A pleasant discovery, we'll definitely be back. ”
